If you make a reservation and you are a student, an e-mail will be send to the researcher in charge.

The maximum reservation period is 7 days

The keys for the vehicle can be picked at the CEN secretariat between 8h00 and 16h00 from Monday to Friday. If you plan to leave early in the morning (prior to 8h00), you can retrieve the keys the day before of your departure, HOWEVER, you are not allowed to bring the vehicle home for the night. You must leave it parked at the University and retrieve it according to the reservation schedule.

You will find in the vehicle a road safety kit that you can use during your fieldwork. It is important to keep this kit in your possession. If you use its content, you will be required to replace the missing items.

Fees:

• 0,75 $ / km (gas included) with a minimum billable per use of 25 $
• > 150 km = $55/day (gas not included, at your expense)
• If you take the vehicle before the original booking, additional fees of $ 25/half day and / or $ 50/day will be charged.

Loan conditions

Borrower's responsibility

The person borrowing the vehicle has full responsibility for the vehicle registered in his/her name. This person agrees to pay for the reparation or replacement of any damaged or lost equipment.

In addition, the borrower must ensure that the persons who will use the vehicle are qualified and trained in its safe use.

The borrowed vehicle must be returned clean and in good condition.

In the event of an accident or mechanical problem, the borrower must complete an accident/incident report and submit it to the person responsible for the vehicle (eliane_duchesne@uqar.ca).

Reservation and Priority of Use

When a person wishes to reserve the vehicle, he or she must notify the person responsible for the CEN vehicle at UQAR in writing, eliane_duchesne@uqar.ca. In case of reservation conflicts, priority for reservation and use of the vehicle is given to:

1. CEN members based at UQAR.
2. CEN members based elsewhere than at UQAR
3. Other UQAR members in the context of research activities supported by the CEN or UQAR.
4. Other persons, in the context of research activities supported by the CEN or UQAR.
 

Pricing

The costs of using the vehicle are as follows

0.75 / km if distance < 300 km including gas

55.00 / day gas not included         

320.00 / week gas not included

1000.00 / month gas not included

Long term loan

The maximum loan period is 6 weeks. The user must justify the need of a longer loan.
