Dataset Publication

With the overhaul of its digital environment, CEN aims to strengthen its data management practices and adopt clear data management policies.

From now on, static datasets from shorter-term or completed projects (e.g. thesis data or data linked solely to a scientific article) will no longer be deposited in Nordicana D. Instead, researchers will have to upload them directly to Borealis, in a space associated with CEN, without going through CEN.

We strongly encourage you to add a reference to your Borealis dataset on the NordicanaD portal to increase its visibility. To do this, simply inform CEN once the deposit has been made in Borealis by emailing us at nordicana@cen.ulaval.ca.

In future, data submission to NordicanaD will be reserved for long-term longitudinal datasets and updates to existing longitudinal datasets on NordicanaD (e.g. SILA network data). If you wish to submit a new longitudinal dataset to NordicanaD, please send us an abstract describing the data included, making sure to highlight the longitudinal nature of the dataset. This will be evaluated by the CEN Data Management Committee.
