CEN Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Action Plan

The Centre d'études nordiques (CEN) is pleased to release its Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Action Plan on this page. The CEN, which holds EDI values dear, has formalized its commitments by developing a concrete action plan with measurable objectives that reflect its values. This action plan is intended to be a guide that can evolve over time to incorporate new ideas and to be adapted to the diversity of its members over the years.

The CEN management invites its members and partners to familiarise themselves with the EDI Action Plan and to commit to working with the CEN to achieve its goals. Members are also invited to share any successes, suggestions or concerns related to EDI by writing to Sandrine Hogue-Hugron (sandrine_hogue-hugron@uqar.ca).

CEN EDI Commitment Statement

The CEN views diversity of experience, perspectives, concerns and thoughts as a vital driver of creativity and research excellence. It is essential that the CEN community evolves in an inclusive, welcoming, empowering and egalitarian space for social justice so that its full potential can be realized and it can contribute significantly to the development of knowledge and innovative solutions to current northern environmental and societal issues. The CEN is actively committed to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in all its research, training and outreach activities throughout, and beyond, its community.
