Special number of the journal Écoscience to mark the 60th anniversary of CEN in 2021
June 11, 2020

As part of the activities planned to mark the 60th anniversary of CEN in 2021, a special issue of the journal Écoscience will be published to highlight research work for the benefit of sustainable development in the North and to demonstrate the interdisciplinarity and scope research work in northern regions carried out by CEN members and, finally, to highlight the contribution of Mr. Louis-Edmond Hamelin, the founder of CEN, to the advancement of northern research. This initiative echoes the special issue of the journal Écoscience on 50 years of multidisciplinary research in the Whapmagoostui-Kuujjuarapik sector in Nunavik which was produced in 2011 to mark the 50th anniversary of CEN (https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/teco20/18/3?nav=tocList&).

The guest editorial committee of this special issue of the journal Écoscience, composed of Najat Bhiry, Monique Bernier, Nicolas Lecompte, James Woollett and Richard Fortier, invites and invites CEN members to submit manuscripts for this special issue. For this purpose, please contact Najat Bhiry (najat.bhiry@cen.ulaval.ca) to submit a manuscript proposal providing a preliminary title, the list of authors and a short summary. The invited editorial committee will quickly respond to your proposal. Looking forward to reading you.
