Half-day workshop

Two training sessions were also offered during a half-day on February 14th, sponsored by Institut nordique du Québec and CIÉRA.

The 2024 CEN Annual Conference in a Nutshell

This 44th edition of the CEN Annual Conference was a success thanks to everyone's participation and dedication!

This year's highlights:

• Approximately 250 people attended the event between Wednesday, February 14 and Friday, February 16.
• Presentations by two professors who have recently become regular members of CEN: Anne Crémazy (INRS) and Julien Gigault (Ulaval-Takuvik).
• An international guest speaker presented her research: Akiko Kato (Ing. recherche, CNRS).
• Gilles Gauthier, professor emeritus at Ulaval and CEN member, presented 35 years of research.
• 12 students presented their work in the form of a traditional oral presentation.
• 2 students presented their work in the form of a reinvented presentation.
• 18 students presented their work in the form of an express speech.
• 71 student scientific posters were visited.

Thank you and congratulations to all guest presenters and students.

The evening of February 15 was also marked by the screening of the film Mamuku Meshkanat - Ensemble sur le chemin. The presence of filmmakers Benoit Desjardins and Laurie Guimond led to a lively discussion after the screening. Many thanks to them!

What's more, this year's half-day training session, which was added to the program before the conference, brought together over 70 students and professional researchers and was very well received. It will certainly be repeated for the next edition. Many thanks to our trainers, Prof. Richard Compton and Mr. André Soro!
